The art style is unique. 20:30 the animation was breathtaking. Pretty nice concept how love determines your social status which opens up more options like changing your personal avatar. But it looks like there's more to this city than the regular eye can see. But MC has an malfunctioning eye so this doesn't apply to her :p, might be a hidden gem this season.

It's gonna be interesting, that's for sure.

Apparently the creator behind this is Dai Satou, best known to write the script for Eureka Seven, and is the creator of another original anime, Listeners.

It's basically a watered down Eureka Seven, and like with Isekai Cheat Magican, Rie Takahashi voicing one of the two leads is easily the only saving grace for Listeners.

So far this is giving me Deca Dence and Odd Taxi happy vibes.

Haven't watched OddTaxi, but I DO recognize the Deca Dance aspects of the show.

Seems like it's basically super exaggerated "AR and social media". The "malfunctioning" eye is just that she isn't seeing the AR anymore and the "love" is just likes on posts you make.
The art style seems due to said AR - anything that isn't AR uses the traditional art style. Quite the interesting way to portray it. I'm not sure what's up with the art at 20:30 - if the rest is AR and reality, maybe that part is VR? That would explain why they were basically teleported to a new location.
It certainly seems like an interesting watch. I'm just a bit turned off by the language used. Berry always calling things "Love-y" and Hack's "Kilo, Mega, Giga, etc" is rather annoying... they just bog down the dialogue and don't really add anything to the characters.

There was one that shared similar art style in the past, this story is good. The art style gently fits the mind-bending genre of the story its telling, hence complementing and enhancing the animation into another level. 10 times better than the Demoness Yandere Anime imo.

Yeah...not feeling this one. It's like a Gen Z liberal arts major watched Kaiba and some other "social commentary" and lite sci-fi anime over the last 10 years (for example, C - The Money Of Soul...) and decided to make something that would appeal to folks who really loved High Guardian Spice. I thought Sato-san dropped the ball pretty hard on Listeners but this looks even worse.

I mean if you want to see Carole & Tuesday crossed with a Dennou Coil meets Steven Universe aesthetic that badly, be my guest...but still, 3 episode rule. Maybe it'll surprise us. The soundtrack is good at least.
